Atty. Baldr H. Bringas

DSWD Assistant Secretary Atty. Baldr H. Bringas began his career in private practice but eventually joined the Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) in 2018 as an executive assistant in the Commissioner’s Office. Due to his work ethic, he quickly climbed the ranks and eventually became the Head Executive Assistant in the Office of the PACC Chairman. In December 2021, he was appointed by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte as Commissioner of the PACC (with the rank of Undersecretary), making him the youngest person ever to hold this position at the age of 31. As Commissioner of the PACC, Atty. Bringas implemented various anti-corruption measures and initiatives. His dedication to public service did not go unnoticed, as he was later appointed as Director of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on July 29, 2022.His impact within the agency led to his promotion as Assistant Secretary on May 9, 2023. Beyond his role as Assistant Secretary for Innovations, Atty. Bringas serves as the OIC-National Program Manager of the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty and the Walang Gutom Program, the flagship program of the national government aimed at addressing food insecurity. Atty. Bringas also recently served as the youngest MANCOM Chairperson of the DSWD Management Committee, a testament to his dynamic leadership and strategic vision in shaping the department’s policies and programs
